- Prague Castle
The largest castle complex in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site, Prague Castle is amongst the most important cultural sites in all of the Czech Republic. Built in the 9th century, this castle complex is comprised of three courtyards and numerous buildings that spread out over 18 acres of land, including St. George's Basilica, the Royal Garden, and St. Vitus Cathedral, the largest cathedral in the country. Although Prague Castle is a popular tourist spot, it mainly serves as the home of the President of the Czech Republic.
- Prague's Jewish Quarter
Prague's Jewish Quarter is one of the most impressive areas in Prague and has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since the early 1990s. Officially named Josefov, the neighborhood holds some of the oldest buildings in the Czech Republic, including the world's oldest synagogue, the Old New Synagogue. Here, visitors can learn about the mythical Golem, whose body is believed to rest in the attic above. Discover the remarkable Old Jewish Cemetery, home to thousands of Prague residents that have been laid peacefully to rest here. This charming neighborhood impresses those with its beauty and peace but also symbolizes world history.

Czech folklore tradition developed over centuries among the Czech people, including various folk songs, elaborate costumes, and even fairy tales! Czech folklore offers all age groups a source of entertainment, from young children to the elderly, and each region of the Czech Republic holds its own unique folklore traditions. In all areas, music plays an essential part in folklore. Some instruments you may hear during a folk performance are violins, bagpipes, and even trumpets. Of course, folk dances are paired with lively music!
